The Rideau Curling Club offers Little Rocks, Bantam, and Junior Curling programs for ages 7-19. The intent is for everyone to have fun and learn to curl properly. We are seeing a resurgence in participation over the past 2 years. We expect to approach a full program this year.
Youth (Little Rock, Bantam, Junior) Membership Form 2011-12
We will be putting in an order for Jackets or Hoodies this year. Details will be on a revised membership form, or available on the first day of curling.
Little Rocks / Bantam / Junior information:
- - We play Sundays 1-3:00 from Oct 23, 2011 until Late March.
- - Season cost is $60(+hst). This includes pizza party and snacks.
- - We recommend the younger ages wear helmets on the ice for safety.
- - Each week we spend time developing skills and playing games.
- - We take a hot-chocolate break half-way through each session.
We accommodate various ages, strengths, and skills with 3 weights of rocks, as well as hacks that are placed on the ice at distances appropriate for the ice and participants. We can play from the near hog, the far hacks, or anywhere in between.
We welcome anybody to come try it before they pay.
